Liquid admitted through the valve 130<SP>1</SP> flows through holes 121a in the sleeve. On screwing ring nut 120<SP>1</SP> in the opposite direction, the parts are moved to the position shown, in which the spigot member 22 can be withdrawn and flange 140 on sleeve 121<SP>1</SP> transmits the upward thrust of the nut 120<SP>1</SP>, to press the valve 130<SP>1</SP> against its seat 131<SP>1</SP>. A flap valve 143 is provided.
