1331900 Cadmium mercury tetrathiocyanate crystals SEIMENS AG 4 Feb 1972 [4 March 1971] 5258/72 Heading C1A Cadmium mercury tetrathiocyanate monocrystals are prepared by crystallization from a supersaturated solution of cadmium mercury tetrathiocyanate in a mixture of water and an alcohol (e.g. ethanol) and separation of the so formed monocrystals from the mother liquor. The supersaturated solution may be produced either by reducing the proportion of one of the solvent mixture components or by lowering the solution temperature.
