1330365 Electromedical apparatus M H PULLAK 16 July 1971 [21 July 1970] 33519/71 Heading G1N The contractions of a woman's uterus during child-birth are monitored by applying an alternating current of constant intensity to electrodes attached to the abdomen, amplifying and demodulating the signal at the abdomen, integrating and recording the resultant signal and comparing the recorded curve with a reference curve. A single pair of electrodes may be used to apply the current and collect the signal, although a pair of injection and a pair of collector electrodes may be used.
