Abstract
1329854 Perambulators TAN SAD-ALLWIN Ltd 10 Nov 1971 [13 Aug 1970] 38958/70 Heading B7B A collapsible pram of the type having a detachable body 10, detachable wheels 36 and folding X-frames 16, 24 comprises C-shaped chassis parts 30 which are connected to the lower ends of the X-frames 16, 24 by swivels 42 and to the chassis by tabs 44 and wing-nuts 46 so that, after removal of the body 10 and wheels 36 and the folding of the X-frames 16, 24, the C-shaped parts 30 can be folded as shown in Fig. 2 so that they become coplanar to reduce the size of the collapsed pram. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown), the wheel axles are removable together with lower straight parts of the loops (30) which are detachably connected to the foldable curved ends parts of the loops in square sectioned spigot and socket connection secured by wing nuts. The swivels 42 may incorporate a coil spring suspension for the pram.
