1329627 Sensing magnetic fields SIEMENS AG 25 Aug 1971 [27 Aug 1970] 39812/71 Heading G1N A device for sensing the magnitude and direction of a magnetic field comprises two magnetic circuits having respective permanent magnets 128, 129 and including respective magneto-resistive elements 130, 131 and ferromagnetic flux guide members 126, 132, 133, 134, and the field to be sensed is concentrated by members 132, 133 to pass through the magnetoresistive members 130, 131 so as to increase the resistance of one and decrease the resistance of the other. The device shown may be used to detect zero position or passage of a magnet 127.
