1328100 Water barriers for anchor bars or tie rods DOXFORD & SUNDERLAND Ltd 8 Dec 1970 [23 Dec 1969] 62618/69 Headings E1S and E1W An anchor bar or tie rod 1 has at least one resilient water 'barrier 4 making an interferance fit around the rod. To effect the seal the barrier may be of a self-relapsing material which binds round the rod or may be of a polyolefin material and formed with a collar 7 which has internal annular sealing ribs (not shown). Radially extending reinforcing ribs 6 may be provided. The tie bar may have at least one threaded nd 8 to take a she bolt or may have a welded threaded socket to take a hexagonal headed bolt. The tie rod may b used to hold temporary shuttering.
