Abstract

1327009 Packaging nails GUNNEBO BRUKS AB 13 July 1972 [14 July 1971] 32903/72 Heading B8C A nail carrier strip, for use in a nail-driving device, comprises a rigid U-section strip 1 whose bottom part 2 carries group of studs 8, 9, 10 to hold the nail 6, the studs 10 on the downstream side of each nail in the feed direction being flexible, whilst the studs 8, 9 on the up-stream side are rigid. The nails are inclined so that their heads 7 overlap. Another embodiment has rigid studs 10<SP>1</SP> between cut-outs 12 which allow displacement of these studs (Fig. 3). In various embodiments, different groupings and numbers of studs are shown, the number of side portions 3 also being varied. The ends of strips 1 may have tongues and slots to permit end-toend connection. The strips may be stacked.
