Abstract

1326727 Cabinets ENVIRONMENT SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 6 Nov 1970 [7 Aug 1969] 39632/69 Heading A4B [Also in Divisions B7 and E1] A mechanism which enables a sliding door or panel to be flush in the closed position, with a second door or panel which may be fixed or sliding, and comprises a transferable track 5 to slidably support a panel 2, the top portion 3 of which is slidably engaged with a guide channel 14 whose sides are inclined obliquely to the panel 2, the two outer sides 3b, 3c of the attachment 3 being each convexly curved and egaging with respective sides of the channel 14, to slide along the channel, and to rotate to a limited degree, about an axis parallel to the length of the channel and permit small irregular movements of the panel 14 during a lateral movement between rear and forward stable positions, in Figs.1 and 2; when the track 5 is moved transversely of the panel in an arcuate path by operation of a lifting arm 12 on a spindle 10 on which the track 5 is mounted. When in the rear position, Fig.1, the panel 2 and track 5 are in alignment with a fixed track on to which the panel 2 can slidably transfer, stops 13 being provided for precise positioning of the track 5.
