Abstract

1326581 Injection moulding two-colour articles LUDWIG ENGEL KG MASCHINENFABRIK 19 Nov 1970 [26 Nov 1969] 55039/70 Heading B5A An injection mould for making two-colour articles comprises a main mould part 3 having two inlets 1,2, first and second interchangeable mould parts 8, 8<SP>1</SP> and 10 movable to form respective cavities with the main mould part, and a movable mould part 9 operable to close the second inlet 2 during injection through the first inlet 1 into the first mould cavity. As shown during the second injection, pins 5, 6 and 9 are withdrawn and mould part 8, 8<SP>1</SP> is replaced by a mould part 10 (Fig. 2). The mould is used for making typewriter or calculating machine keys, the character being determined by an exchangeable insert 11. The mould parts 8, 8<SP>1</SP> and 10 are supported by a rotary or sliding plate 7, and a, stripper plate 4 is provided.
