Abstract

1326094 Composite granules FISONS Ltd 17 June 1971 [1 July 1970] 32015/70 Heading B2E Granules containing O, O-dimethyl S-(N- methylcarbamoyl methyl) phosphonodithioate are stuck to base granules by means of a sticker comprising a hydrocarbon of viscosity at least 30 c/s as measured at 20‹C. Base granules may be limestone, sand, slate or marble e.g. of size 16-60 B.S.S. The hydrocarbon is preferably polymeric e.g. a polymer of 1-butene, 2-butene or isobutene. Copolymers of 2 or more may be used. If desired polyisobutene may be used in admixture with kerosine. In examples composite granules are made from (1) limestone grit, polyisobutene, dimethoate, China clay and silica (2) a similar mixture but the polyisobutene being introduced in Kerosene and (3) the hydrocarbon being introduced as an emulsion with tributyl phenol, ethylene oxide and water.
