1325340 2,3 - Dihydro - 4 - aminoalkyl - -1,4- benzoxazin - 3 - ones DEUTSCHES HYDRIERWERK RODLEBEN VEB 27 Oct 1970 50970/70 Heading C2C Novel 2,3 - dihydro - 4 - aminoalkyl - 1,4- benzoxazin-3-ones of the general formula wherein R 1 is a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted aliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic group, R 2 is a hydrogen or halogen atom or an alkyl, aryl, trifluoromethyl, nitro, amino, acylamino, hydroxy, carboxy or alkoxy group, A is a C 2-6 alkylene group and R 3 is a primary, secondary or tertiary cyclic or non-cyclic amino group and acid addition and quaternary ammonium salts thereof are prepared (a) by reaction of a 2,3-dihydro-1,4-benzoxazin-3-one of the general formula with a compound of the general formula R 3 AX<SP>1</SP>, wherein X<SP>1</SP> is a reactive atom or group and (b) by reaction of a 2,3-dihydro-1,4- benzoxazin-3-one of the second general formula above with a compound of the general formula XAY, wherein Y is a halogen atom and X is a reactive atom or group followed by an amine of the general formula R 3 H; followed optionally by salification of the product.
