1325033 Electrosensitive recording material NIG MASON Ltd and D ATHERTON 26 Nov 1971 [11 Sept 1970] 43574/70 Heading D2B An electrosensitive recording material comprises a non-electrically-conducting support having a matt surface on which has been vapour deposited a coating of a metal capable of being volatilised when contacted by an electrically energised stylus. The metal-receiving surface may be a layer of resin containing a matting agent bonded to or separate from a base support. The matt effect may also be produced by pressing the resin while soft against a metal drum having a matt surface. The resin may be a cellulosic or vinyl resin and the volatilsable metal may be aluminium. Examples of suitable matting agents include silica, clay, ZnO, TiO 2 , CaCO 3 , mica, felspar, metallic silicates, and polyethylene waxes. The base support may be paper or a plastics film.
