Die Härte der Pigmente ist so gewählt, daß einerseits die herausragenden Partien der Körner durch die Elektrode nicht zu stark abgetragen werden und daß andererseits die Elektroden sich nicht zu stark abnützen. Besonders gute Ergebnisse sind bei der Mischung verschiedener Pigmente, insbesondere bei einer Mischung mit dem Pigmente Ruß erzielt worden.
