Abstract

1324963 Multi-purpose furniture: connecting furniture articles; castors ALBAPLAST SpA 19 Jan 1972 2496/72 Headings A4H, A4U [Also in Division B8] An article of furniture comprises a plastics box-shaped body 1 having a base 5, walls 3, the upper edges 4 of which slant downwardly, and outwardly and a removable lid 9 whose perimeter 10 is bevelled so as to mate with edges 4, the base 5 including bushings 6 for removably mounting castors 8. The castors 8 are mounted to the bushings 6 by removable pivot pins 7. Alternatively, pin 7 may be rigidly connected to bushing 6 or castor 8. At least two articles may be pivotally linked by replacing a castor of each by a hollow U-shaped member 15. Lid 9 may mount a seat cushion.
