Abstract
1324493 Toothed gearing PLAST-UND ELASTVERARBEITUNGSMASCHINENKOMBINAT KARL-MARX-STADT VEB 27 May 1971 17653/71 Heading F2Q To equalize the torques transmitted by parallel idler gears 4, 5 from an input gear 11 to an output pinion 3, particularly for a screwshaft of a double screw extruder for processing thermoplastic materials, whereby the bearings 16 of the output shaft 1 are load-free, the two idler gears 4, 5 are mounted one on each side of the output pinion 3 on a line joining the axes of rotation of the input and output gears 11, 3 and carried in a frame 8 freely pivotable on bearing rings 14 coaxial with the input shaft 12, the idler gears 4, 5 being drivingly interconnected by a further idler 9 also carried in the pivotable frame 8. In an alternative embodiment (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown), the idler gears (17, 18) are again arranged one on each side of the output pinion 3 in the pivotable frame (19) and drivingly interconnected by internal teeth of a common ring gear (20) which is journalled at (22) in the pivotable frame (19), external teeth on the ring gear (20) directly meshing the driving gear 11.
