Abstract

1323822 Moulding sanitary ware IDEAL STANDARD SpA 9 June 1971 [10 June 1970] 19559/71 Heading B5A A piece of sanitary ware such as a wash basin is made by filling a mould with a vitrifiable material, pouring the material out of the mould after a layer 23 has solidified, and filling the remaining mould area with a clay mixture 24 such as clay and fire clay. After moulding, the sanitary ware is enamelled and baked. The mould 1 includes a filling aperture 12, normally plugged discharge apertures 10, 16 and 20, and an air-bleed orifice 18.
