Abstract

1323726 Sewing machine TSENTRALNY NAUCHNO - ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT SHVEIONI PROMYSHLENNOSTI 17 July 1970 34674/70 Heading D1G Work to be sewn is held in a holder 5 carried on an externally toothed master form 3 engaged by a driving member 7 to move the work past the needle 2 in a single direction, the stitch line being inwardly offset from the pitch line of the master form teeth by a distance equal to the radius of curvature of any curved portion of that pitch line. A roller 21 engages the inside edge of the master form. Cams 12 at the comers of the master form operate a microswitch 17 to actuate a solenoid 13 to stop the needle in a raised position while the form is turned by the member 7. The work is held to the table 4 by clamp covers 24, 25, joined by arms 23, the covers 24, 25 being pressed alternately towards the table by a roller 26 as the table is moved. The needle holder 15 is carried in a frame 20 oscillated, by means not shown, parallel to the stitch line.
