1323650 Height adjusting mechanism for chairs INDUSTRIAL DE BELLEZA Y PELUQUERIA SA 16 June 1972 [18 June 1971] 28319/72 Addition to 1265258 Heading F1D A height adjusting mechanism for a chair as described in parent Specification 1265258, has a mechanism for locking the chair at any height comprising a split ring 16, Fig. 1, which is urged into gripping engagement with a piston 17, attached to the seat of the chair, by a tapered rod 11, 14, Fig. 3. The rod 11, 14 is moved up and down by a rod 13 attached to a pedal which operates a pump for raising the chair. The taper 14 bears on a lug 15, Fig.1, of the ring and closes a gap 18.
