Abstract
1322507 Sliding window lifting device H T GOLDE GmbH 22 June 1970 [20 June 1969] 30159/70 Heading E2M [Also in Division F2] A window lifting device for e.g. a vehicle comprises a pinion 7 rotatably mounted in a housing 2, 3 and drivably engaging in racklike manner a threaded, flexible cable 9 which operates the window, and a spiral spring 16 mounted in a rotatable spring drum 14 which engages the pinion 7 through peripheral gear teeth 15, the inner end 18 of the spring being anchored in a slot 19 in the non-rotatable hub 12 of the drum and the outer end 20 engaging a slot 21 in the wall 17 of the drum. Lowering of the window winds up the spring and the stored energy is used to assist the closing raising movement. The spring may be of spring steel and the drum 14 and a drum cover (22) Fig. 2 (not shown) may be of synthetic plastics material. A slotted cable guide 1 is provided which may be of synthetic plastics material and may have sleeves (28, 29) Fig. 3 (not shown) holding it non-rotatably with the housing as described and claimed in Specification 1322508.
