1322048 Magnetic separator KLOCKNERHUMBOLDT-DEUTZ AG 2 Dec 1970 [21 April 1970] 57343/70 Heading B2J A magnetic separator comprises rotors 3, 3' rotatable on a shaft 2 and provided on the peripheries with stacks of plates 4, the rotors being partially embraced by stationary pole shoes 10 provided with field windings 8, 9. To prevent fluctuations in the speed of the rotor the ends 11 of the pole shoes are tapered and the plates of one rotor are offset relatively to the plates of the other rotor. Each air gap may increase towards its ends.
