Abstract
1321639 Pneumatic motor control circuit DAVIS PNEUMATIC SYSTEMS Ltd 28 Feb 1972 [27 Nov 1970] 56607/70 Heading F1P [Also in Divisions F2 and G3] In a control circuit for two pneumatic motors A, B actuation of manual valve 45 shifts pilot 46 so that motor A travels rightwards until it operates a trip valve which reverses pilot 46, causing motor A to return and engage a valve V which transmits a pulse to pilot 47. Motor B now travels rightwards and returns when trip valve 48 reverses pilot 47. Valve V, Fig. 5, may comprise two spools 7, 8 of which the latter, when in the biased position shown, vents outlet 5 via 6A and connects a duct 43 supplied from inlet 15 with a duct 44 so that pressure in cylinder 41 depresses spool 7 to connect inlet 15 to duct 17. When spool 8 is depressed by ram A, it connects duct 17 to outlet 5, (and valve 47) and when the back-pressure at the outlet unseats valve 34 in duct 33 it raises spool 7 which then disconnects the inlet 15 from duct 17 and connects the latter instead to exhaust 21, 6. In its depressed position, the spool 8 also serves to vent cylinder 41 via 44, 6A. In a modification, spool 7 is manually re-set. For further details of valve V see Division F2.
