Abstract

1320636 Axial-flow fans LINDE AG 14 Sept 1971 [15 Sept 1970] 42735/71 Heading F1C [Also in Divisions F2 and H2] An electric motor 4 of a fan 14 is resiliently mounted from a structure 15 by one or more spring wires 1, 9, 10 each having at least two U-shaped loops 5, 6 arranged in different non- parallel planes. For each spring wire the plane containing the loop 5 is at right angles to that containing the loop 6. Each wire is connected adjustably to the structure 15 by a fitting 7 and to the motor by one of three eyes 11 formed by corrugations in the wire end. Each wire has a hairpin bend 2 which extends parallel to the corrugated end portion. The three spring wires are symmetrically arranged around the circumference of the motor and attached to it by screws 8 which pass through an eye 11 of one wire and the hairpin bend 2 of the next wire.
