Abstract

1320491 Microfilm projection apparatus C TERRELL 1 July 1970 [2 April 1969] 17414/69 Heading G2A A projector has two complete optical projection systems of different powers, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 11a, 12a, 13a, 15a, mounted side-by-side on a carrier 18 which is selectively slidable on support rods 19, 20 to align either system with the projection gate carrying a microfilm 14, in strip or card-mounted form, for projection on to screen 17 at two different magnifications. Vertical and horizontal scanning of the microfilm 14 is possible by means of a lever linkage which engages a pillar 31 on carrier 18 and is manually operable to rotate rods 19, 20 about a common shaft 26, and to slide carrier 18 along the rods. Shaft 26 is axially displaceable for focusing the optical systems using screw 27 and knob 28. A follower on the scanning linkage engages a shaped recess to limit the extent of scan.
