Abstract
132,012. Travers, J. L. Aug. 30, 1918. Propelling; steering.-The propellers of flying- boats are arranged so that they can be raised above the water-level when the boat is on water. Fig. 1 shows an engine A and propeller B mounted on a frame D pivoted at E and raised by means of links F, the lower ends of which are moved in slots G by means of cords O and worm-gear L.
