Abstract
1319223 Aircraft B J JACKSON 4 Jan 1972 [5 Jan 1971] 366/71 Heading B7W A low powered aircraft having a biplane negative staggered configuration comprises an upper mainplane 1 and a low mainplane 3 which, outboard of vertical planes containing the tips of main plane 1, is cranked upwardly and outwardly to form outer wing panels 6, thereby forming gaps 2. A propeller 4 is mounted at each tip of mainplane 1 so that the tips of the blades clear the upper surface of the cranked portion of mainplane 3 and the planes containing the propeller blades are in chordwise alignment on said upper surfaces with the position of boundary flow transition, thereby causing supercirculation. A canard noseplane 5 is provided.
