Abstract

1319136 Temperature alarm systems ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 14 Oct 1970 [15 Oct 1969] 48722/70 Heading G4N A temperature alarm device comprises a pair of electronic switching devices (e.g. transistors 19, 20 and capacitors 27, 28) connected to form a multivibrator and including a temperature sensitive resistor 30 connected so as to influence the operation of the multivibrator, and a warning device 34 arranged to indicate the resulting change in operation. The device 30 may be a resistor having negative temperature coefficient and may be located in the gear-box of a car. As described, the multivibrator is arranged so that it will only oscillate when the oil temperature is dangerously high. The lamp 34 then provides a flashing indication.
