1317193 Making helically-wound tube X LIPP 15 July 1970 [16 July 1969 2 April 1970] 34256/70 Heading B3A [Also in Divisions E1 and F2] A tubular member is made from a helically wound steel strip, superimposed edges of adjacent layers of which are seamed together by a double folding over action. The strip is initially profiled accordingly to facilitate the seaming, Figs. 5-8 (not shown), and is coated with at least one layer of acid resistant material, e.g. aluminium, zinc, stainless steel or synthetic material.
