Abstract

1315805 Boring earth &c LEE C MOORE CORP 8 Oct 1971 [26 Oct 1970] 46878/71 Heading E1F A pipe rack comprises a track 1, a carriage 6 movable step by step along the track to receive horizontal pipe in different locations from a fixed pipe-lowering station. Two carriages connected by braced beams 35, 36, 37 run on two tracks. A hydraulic motor 33 drives a screw 25 engaging a nut fixed on a carriage, a chain 32 driving a similar arrangement on the other carriage to move the carriages in unison. Two pipes are stacked in spaces between posts 21, and collars 22 are stacked in a wider space at one end of the carriages.
