Abstract

1315393 Sheaths for use during sexual intercourse H WEGENER 17 Sept 1970 [18 Sept 1969] 44468/70 Heading A5R [Also in Division F2] A sheath for use during sexual intercourse comprises a substantially cylindrical thick-walled, hollow body of which at least one end is open, and at least one one-way valve connecting the interior of the hollow body to the outside, the valve being adapted to open when there is excess pressure in the body. In a first embodiment Fig. 1, the sheath is adapted as a condom and has a closed rounded end having a bead 8 around it. A duct 4 runs through the wall to the one-way valve 3 which is set in an external collar 9 at the open end. A second similar duct 6 may be provided with a oneway valve 5 adapted to open when the subatmospheric pressure in the body reaches a predetermined value. An internal collar 2 is provided near the open end of the body and projections 7 inside as shown. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), a sleeve (10) is provided around the outside of the body and adapted to be slidable between extreme positions, liquid and/or powder being placed between the two members to facilitate this sliding. A plurality of soft rubber projections may be provided around the collar 9 for stimulation of the clitoris. In a second embodiment, Fig. 3, the device is adapted to enhance the chance of conception and has an extension having a duct 12 therethrough leading out to a shaped end portion 13 adapted to fit against the cervix, a pressure operated valve 14 being situated at the start of the duct 12.
