Abstract

1314999 Miniature electric motors T MORITA 23 June 1970 [12 Sept 1969] 30477/70 Heading H2A In a miniature electric motor comprising spaced support discs 3, 3<SP>1</SP> rotatably supporting a shaft 2 on which is fixedly mounted a motor 1 enclosed by two semi-cylindrical cover members 6, 6<SP>1</SP> co-operating with the support discs, the latter are permanent magnets and the cover members are magnetic whereby the co-operation is maintained at least partly by magnetic attraction. The cover members are also secured together by an adhesive tape 18 and are located by cover projections 7, 7<SP>1</SP> engaging disc notches 10, 10<SP>1</SP> and by disc lugs 11, 11<SP>1</SP> engaging cover member notches 8, 8<SP>1</SP>. Fixed to the shaft 2 is a commutator 12 engaged by brushes 14 supported by an arcuate brush holder 13 mounted by engaging two grooves 15 is a cover aperture defined by notches 9, 9<SP>1</SP>.
