1314670 Walking beam furnaces TABOUGNAR AB 30 Nov 1971 [30 Nov 1970] 55519/71 Heading F4B A walking beam furnace comprises normally fixed beams 10-13, walking beams 7 and 8 driven by conventional machinery 5 and 6, characterized in that at least part of the beams 11 and 12 is lifted by machinery 14 to a height greater than that reached by the upper surfaces of walking beams 7 and 8. Lifting machinery 14 is timed to operate together with or immediately prior to the raising of beams 7 and 8.
