Abstract

1314476 Watches A SCHOLLER and E BANDELIER 14 June 1971 [3 July 1970] 27703/71 Heading G3T A water-tight winding mechanism for a watch comprises a fixed socket 6 with a tubular member 3 fixedly attached thereto, and a crown 1 which is free to rotate and slide axially within the socket 6 and which is provided with a synthetic sleeve 2 in deformed contact with the outer cylindrical surface of the tubular member 3. A ring 5 is crimped in the crown 1 to retain the sleeve 2 which has the head 4a of an actuating shank 4 embedded therein, the arrangement being stated to prevent the transmission of shocks to the watch movement. The sleeve 2 is provided with sealing beads 10-12 which are compressed against the member 3, and auxiliary seals are provided by O-rings 8, 13.
