Abstract

1313746 Golf trolleys E APPLEBY 14 Aug 1970 [22 Aug 1969] 42019/69 Headings B7B and B7H Motor driven rollers 12 which drivingly engage the wheels 4 of a golf trolley are pivotally mounted, along with electrical motors 11, on limbs 1 of a frame member so as to be movable into and out of engagement with the wheels. Each motor is carried by a plate 9 pivoted at 10 to a limb 1, the plates 9 being interconnected by a cross member 13. The rollers are lifted out of engagement with the wheels by a spring 16, and are urged in the opposite direction by a Bowden cable on depressing hand lever 17. The cable core is attached between lever 17 and frame member 2a, and the sleeve between the lever mounting 19 and cross member 13. A switch 22 actuates the motors when plates 9 are pivoted to the drive position. A battery carrier 24 is pivotally mounted on the limbs 1, and the handle portion 6a of the trolley is detachable from the wheeled portion. The trolley may be hand propelled whilst the motor is disconnected.
