Abstract
1313672 Counters TAMURA ELECTRIC WORKS Ltd 12 Aug 1970 [13 Aug 1969] 38759/70 Headings G4D and G4H Adjacent modules of an electromagnetic stepping counter have the electromagnets 26a, 26b projecting from the related modules 10a, 10b into the other. The pallet of each electromagnet acts on a star-wheel 44 integral with a gear wheel 48, which meshes with a numeral wheel 50 and a print wheel 52. A wiper 58 on the inside of wheel 48 co-operates with terminals 56 of a printed circuit to provide electrical read-out. The numeral wheel 50 carries a permanent magnet with off-set pole pieces 71, 73 defining a narrow air gap 75 for operation of a reed switch 76 for transfer.
