Abstract

1313642 Benzodiazepines GRINDSTEDVAERKET AS 13 Jan 1972 2602/71 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R<SP>1</SP>=H, C 1-6 alkyl, C 2-6 alkanoyl; R<SP>2</SP>=H, C 2-6 alkanoyl; R<SP>3</SP>=H, halogen, NO 2 , CF 3 ; R<SP>4</SP>= H, C 1-5 alkyl) are prepared by reacting a compound of the formula with the anhydride or a halide of a C 2-6 alkanoic acid, optionally followed by hydrolysis. When R<SP>1</SP>=H, a mixture of the 3-acyloxy and 1-alkanoyl-3-acyloxy derivatives may be obtained. The above compounds are sedatives, tranquillizers and narcosis-potentiating agents, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them in association with a carrier.
