Abstract

1472487 Triazolobenzodiazepines F HOFFMANN-LA ROCHE & CO AG 20 Oct 1975 [21 Oct 1974] 42980/75 Heading C2C 4S-Compounds of the general formula (R=H, C 1-6 alkyl; R 1 =halogen, NO 2 ; R 2 =H, halogen) and their acid addition salts are prepared by cyclizing a compound of the formula optionally followed by salt formation. The starting materials are prepared by condensing the corresponding benzodiazepinethione and acid hydrazide, or reacting the corresponding lactam with dimorpholinophosphinyl chloride and reacting the product with the acid hydrazide. The above compounds are anticonvulsants, sedatives, muscle relaxants, tranquillizers and anxiolytics, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them in association with a carrier.
