Abstract
1313011 Welding by fusion GREER HYDRAULICS The 9 June 1970 [10 June 1969] 27948/70 Heading B3R A weld is effected between two parts 1, 2 by spacing the parts by means of their abutment with a projection 6 on a backing ring 4 located internally of the parts, and fusing the projection 6 into the weld seam 7 the parts 1, 2 being elements of an hydropneumatic accumulator whose flexible diaphragm 5 is vulcanized on to an inwardly-curved lower rim of the backing ring. The projection may be a continuous peripheral rib of approximately triangular crosssection; alternatively, it may be discontinuous. In another form (Fig. 2, not shown), a depression corresponding to the rib (6a) is formed on the ring interval periphery.
