Abstract

1312937 Melt-spinning filaments BARMAG BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 3 Nov 1970 [25 Nov 1969] 52133/70 Heading B5B Spinning apparatus comprises a multiorifice extrusion nozzle followed by a cooling device and means for collecting together all of the spun filaments, e.g. deflector bar 16, a plurality of after treatment units 24, 24<SP>1</SP>, 24<SP>11</SP> and 24<SP>111</SP> being arranged adjacent the spinning unit, each one being associated with a particular filament or filament bundle. As shown, an airduct 9 cools the filaments, which latter may be deflected back through the duct (Fig. 4, not shown) before further treatment. Treatment may comprise heating, stretching and winding. As shown, take off devices 19, 19<SP>1</SP>, 19<SP>11</SP> and 19<SP>111</SP> are arranged so that the filament paths from spinneret to wind-up are all equal in length. Heated plates 31 (&c.) assist drawing between rolls 22 (&c.), 25 (&c.), and a spin-finish may be applied at 13, 14, 15. Polyamides, polyesters and polyolefins may be spun.
