Abstract

1311467 Mixing gases BRITISH FEDERAL WELDER & MACHINE CO Ltd 23 March 1970 [24 Dec 1968] 61501/68 Heading B1C [Also in Division B3] Gases are mixed by being passed through a passage or chamber 17 containing a freely rotatable rotor 19 which is rotated by the passage of the gases and thus swirls the gases, the swirled gases then passing through a diffuser 24. The diffuser comprises a synthetic plastics filter. The inlet chamber 14 may have 5 or more inlets 15. An electromagnetic or photoelectric flow rate sensor may be connected to the rotor.
