Abstract

1310874 Fastener applying apparatus WESTBRICK Ltd 22 June 1970 [21 March 1969] 14846/69 Heading B4C [Also in Division E1] A stapling or nailing gun for use in fixing panels to a wall and providing a seal around the staple or nail comprises a pressurized sealing compound reservoir fixed to the gun (27) (Fig. 6, not shown) and arranged to deliver a blob of sealing compound to the head of a staple or nail next to be fired via a conduit 35 and aperture 36, which is controlled by an apertured gate valve 37, the valve being spring biased to the closed position shown and opened when the gun is pressed against the panel. The gun is preferably pneumatic. A supply of staples or nails is spring urged towards the firing position.
