Abstract

1310568 Cutting glass filaments OWENSCORNING FIBERGLAS CORP 5 Nov 1970 [29 Dec 1969] 52789/70 Addition to 1211163 Heading C1M In apparatus as disclosed in the Specification 1,211,163 the cutter roll 13 comprises a cylindrical member 110, a plurality of blades 14 extending outwardly therefrom and seated with their bases 122 in grooves 116 to secure them against circumferential movement, end plates 112 and 114 engaging by walls 146 opposite sides of the blades 14 in a region close to but spaced from their cutting edges 126 so as to fix them against circumferential movement and against outward movement on the cylindrical member 110. Preferably the blades 14 extend slightly obliquely to the axis of the member 110.
