1310455 N,N-Disubstituted carboxylic acid amides CASSELLA FARBWERKE MAINKUR AG 20 May 1971 [22 May 1970] 16017/71 Heading C2C Compounds of the formula in which R 1 and R 2 are alkyl of C 1-6 , cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, or together make up a heterocyolic ring, R 3 is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon radical of up to 16 C, R 4 is aryl or heteroaromatic, R 5 and R 6 are hydrogen, C 1-6 alkyl or aryl, and R, is hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, or, when R 3 is hydrogen, R, may be -CHR 6 CHR 4 R 5 , are prepared by reacting R 3 R 8 CH.CONR 1 R 2 (where R 8 is hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl) with R 6 CH= CR 4 R 5 in the presence of 0À1-1 mole of an alkaline catalyst per mole of amide at 20- 150‹ C. When R 8 is H, 1 or 2 moles of the olefine may add on. Compounds as above, other than those in which R 1 or R 2 is aralkyl or R 7 is hydrogen, are claimed as novel.
