Abstract

1310261 α-1,6-Glucosidase HAYASHIBARA CO 26 March 1970 [29 March 1969] 15005/70 Heading C3H A process for producing α-1,6-glucosidase comprises cultivating strains of the genera Aerobacter, Agrobacterium, Azotobacter, Bacillus Erwinia, Lactobacillus, Leuconostoc, Micrococcus, Mycobacterium, Nocardia, Pediococcus, Sarcina, Serratia, Staphylococcus, Escherichia, Streptomyces, Actinomyces, Micromonospora or Thermonospora in a culture medium containing at least 2 g./l. of an inorganic sulphate salt to produce cell-bound α-1,6-glucosidase, separating the cells from the culture medium and then isolating the α-1,6-glucosidase from the cells. The culture medium may contain from 2 to 8 g./l. of ammonium sulphate. Suitable organisms are Agrobacterium tumefaciens, Azotobacter indicus, Bacillus cereus, Erwinia aroideae, Escherichia intermedia, Lactobacillus plantarium, Leuconostoc citrovorum, Micrococcus lysodeikticus, Mycobacterium phlie, Nocardia corralina, Pediococcus acidilactici, Sarcina alkida, Serratia indica, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus faecalis.
