Abstract

1309373 Inflatable floats BERNHARDT APPARATEBAU GmbH 19 April 1971 [10 March 1970] 24336/71 Heading B7U [Also in Division E2] An inflatable float 1 is housed in a protective cover 2 closed by a sliding clasp fastener 8, an intermediate part of which is punched by a clamp 10 to produce a weakened portion from where the fastener tears open when inflation of the float stresses the cover and pulls the fastener out of the clamp. A second fastener 16 is provided'to enable the hinged jaw (13), Fig. 2 (not shown), of the clamp 10 to be set.
