Abstract

C o o l i n g - chambers.- A show-case for the conservation of perishable commodities such as meat, fish, &c. comprises, as shown in Fig. 1, a transparent display compartment a, a lower store compartment b, each of which is provided with a sliding door e and f, and an arrangement of refrigerating pipes c through which the cooling medium is circulated from a refrigerating-plant. When used as a wall cabinet for displaying sides and quarters of beef, or carcasses of sheep, a single compartment with a hinged door is employed and the pipes are arranged at the back of the case. The whole of the shop window may comprise a refrigerating cabinet having the pipes arranged along the bottom and sides thereof.
