Each carrier comprises a housing 8, 4 with trunnions 10, 5 to mount wheeled trucks 11, 6. The wheeled trucks 6 of the leading and/or trailing carrier have sealing discs 7 and the wheels of the other carriers are independently mounted on respective hub carriers 12. Each wheel is mounted on an axle 14 secured at each end to a slide 15 movable in a guideway 16 with resilient members 17, 18 arranged within the guideway on opposite sides of the slide 15 to form shock absorbers.
