1307983 Brackets MILLS SCAFFOLD CO Ltd 19 May 1970 [15 April 1969] 19114/69 Heading A4B A bracket for supporting a scaffold board comprises a triangular frame including a diagonal brace 20 extending between the ends of first and second, mutually perpendicular limbs 11, 16, Fig. 3, the first limb 11 having a clamp 13,14 and a bifurcated heel plate 11a for engaging an upright 15 and the second limb 16 carrying an extension member 21 which is movable between a retracted position and an operative position in which it forms a longitudinal extension of the second limb 16. As shown, the extension 21 is of channel section and fits over the channel section second limb 16. A bar 26 is secured between the flanges of the extension 21 adjacent on end from which the channel web has been removed. The bar 26 may bear on the free edges of the flanges of the second limb 16 or may selectively locate in notches 17a, 17b. Alternatively the extension 21 and limb 16 may be telescoping tubes with apertures facilitating adjustment of the degree of extension. In another embodiment, Fig. 5, the second limb 33, extension 35 and brace 34 are all of channel section. The extension 35 engages within the limb 33 with plates 40 the extension 35 located against a bar 46 on the brace 34 and with the inner end of the extension 35 engaging a bar 47 on the limb 33. The extension 35 is movable to a retracted position in which it is housed within the brace 34
