1307536 Electrically heated glass sheets COMPAGNIE DE SAINT GOBAIN 9 March 1970 [7 March 1969 (2)] 42181/72 Divided out of 1307535 Heading H5H An electrically heatable glass sheet 20, e.g. an automobile window, having metallic strips 24 deposited thereon across two zones of the sheet, e.g. a central zone and an outer zone near the current collectors 23, of which it is desired to heat one zone more than the other, is characterized by the cross-sectional area of the outer portions 24a of the strips 24 being greater than the cross-sectional area of the central portions 24b, and by the strips having been applied to the sheet in a single operation. A serigraphic printing screen as claimed in the parent Specification may be used for making the heatable sheet. The strips 24 may have a lesser width in the central zone than in the outer zone, or may have lesser thickness in the central zone than in the outer zone.
