1307435 Vehicle body B SFEDU MUETHING 14 July 1970 [14 July 1969] 34093/70 Heading B7B A laterally extendible motor vehicle body comprises a fixed main section having an extendible section which is moved outwards or inwards by the ends of a pair of opposite walls 5, 5<SP>1</SP> vertically articulated on the main section. The extendible opposite walls 5, 5<SP>1</SP> bear and support side walls 3, 3<SP>1</SP> by bearings and support plates sliding along the lower edges of the side walls. Fixed to the side walls 3, 3<SP>1</SP> are extendible roofs 4, 4<SP>1</SP> which slide by means of bearings 17, 17<SP>1</SP> on guides 15, 16 arranged in the fixed roof 4. Floors 7, 71 are hinged to the fixed floor 6 for folding or collapsing. The extendible sections are operated mechanically by rotatingathreaded rod 11 having sliders 10 connected to levers 9 articulated to the pairs of opposite walls 5, 5<SP>1</SP> or alternatively the levers may be operated by hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders or by a rackwork controlled by an electric motor.
