130,668. Roberts, A. J. March 8, 1918. Aerial machines with aerostats; aerostats; cars. -An air-ship having a tri-lobe envelope 1 is arranged with the single lobe underneath and the other two lobes on top, and is fitted with a bal. lonet 3 in the lower lobe. Two cars 6 may be arranged as shown, being suspended from the upper lobes 1 and connected transversely by struts 7 passing through the envelope, or by external struts 8 which may provide a means of communication between the two cars. The ballonet, when deflated, is supported by guys 5 and also by the struts 7. Propellers 10 are arranged at the sides.
